By the Hammer of Thor, it's finally happening! In Vancouver! With the original director and cast! My heart joins in dancing the jig of millions of excited fans as "The X-Files 2" starts filming on December 10 2007.

Sure, the first one was actually really bad, but almost ten years after it was filmed and five years after the show concluded, IT'S ABOUT BLOODY TIME THEY TIED UP SOME LOOSE ENDS! After all, "The world's going to end Scully and I'm kinda ok with that... Let's not tell anybody else..." is hardly the ending that most fans were looking forward to and this seems like the appropriate way to make up for the disappointment. That is, if the movie itself isn't a disappointment...

Well, after some serious X-Files deprivation, this X-Phile is definitely going to be amped to see it. Terrible or not.

On the up side, no mention of Dogget or Reyes has yet been mentioned and I hope it stays that way; the fewer reminders of the ninth season, the better. Ultimately, I don't think it really matters. As long as some fresh material of my favourite TV duo of all time returns, I shall be content. Of course, it will be sucky that The Lone Gunmen are no more. Unless they do an 'in the past' type thing, of course that would ruin the whole point of the new film, but hey, it was worth a ponder.

Anyway, here's the latest on it, it's not much, but it's something!
